Your Photography Session Questions Answered
Do I need a reservation?
Yes, please email reservations@twincanyonsranch.com to schedule your photography session.
How far in advance do I need to book?
For first time reservations, we ask for 1-2 business days in advance. Once a relationship is established with a photographer, we can usually accommodate requests with shorter notice.
Can I split the rental with another photographer?
No, sessions are charged per photographer. The photographer is expected to check in at the Adventure Barn one hour prior to the start of the first photography session to receive credentials and review expectations. Prior to arrival, the photographer must provide a list of expected visitors in their group. These visitors will also need to sign in at the Adventure Barn. We allow one photographer and one assistant per session.
Can I bring props?
Yes, props are welcome but must be approved in advance by Twin Canyons Ranch Resort.
Can I bring livestock?
Show animals are welcome as long as they are halter-broke. We have trailer parking available.
Do I need to sign any type of liability?
Yes, the photographer and clients will need to sign a liability waiver prior to the photography session.
Do you offer an exclusive use of your ranch to a certain photographer?
No, at this time, we do not offer exclusivity. Priority is given to photographers who have worked with us in the past.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are welcome and must be on a leash. Pets may not interfere with livestock at Twin Canyons Ranch Resort. Any pet that attempts to chase or interfere with livestock will immediately be asked to leave the ranch property.
When is payment due?
Payment is due to reserve a date. We allow cancellations up to 7 days prior to the photography session date. Any cancellations less than 7 days will result in a $100 cancellation fee. You may reschedule your photography session to another date without any additional fees if requested at least one day prior to the original date.
Are there any restrictions on the types of photography allowed?
We welcome most types of photography, including portrait, landscape, and commercial shoots. However, any photography involving nudity or explicit content is not permitted.
What are the operating hours for photography sessions?
Photography sessions can be scheduled during daylight hours. Please confirm specific times with our reservations team.
Can I use drones for aerial photography?
Yes, drones are allowed for aerial photography, but you must obtain prior approval from Twin Canyons Ranch Resort and comply with FAA regulations.
Are there any specific rules for interacting with wildlife or livestock?
Yes, please keep a safe distance from wildlife and livestock. Do not attempt to touch or feed them, as this can disrupt their natural behavior and safety.
Can I have a makeup artist or hair stylist on site?
Yes, you can have a makeup artist or hair stylist on site. They will need to be included in the list of visitors provided to the ranch prior to arrival.
Can I schedule a scouting visit before my photography session?
Yes, scouting visits can be arranged in advance. Please contact our reservations team to schedule at time.
