Holiday Company Retreat Near Granbury: Bring the Team to the Ranch

Looking for a holiday company retreat near Granbury that is not another hotel ballroom? Twin Canyons Ranch sits on a working Longhorn and Hereford cattle ranch between Granbury and Glen Rose, about an hour from downtown Fort Worth and roughly ninety minutes from DFW International Airport. It is close enough for a Metroplex team to arrive the same day, and far enough that phones go in pockets once the pasture comes into view.

Why a late-fall company retreat works better on a ranch

Year-end meetings work harder when people actually talk to each other. On the ranch, the backdrop is open sky, cattle along the fence line, and 1.5 miles of Brazos River frontage—not a parking garage. Groups of 10 to 100 use Twin Canyons Ranch for company gatherings. Smaller leadership teams can meet in the Barn Suite living area, which the ranch lists as meeting space for up to 20. Larger sessions can ask about the Black Star Barn (about 150 at tables or 200 theater-style in the 6,000-square-foot barn).

A holiday schedule does not have to be packed. Many teams keep a morning working session, leave the afternoon open for ranch time, and gather again for dinner. That rhythm fits November better than a packed hotel itinerary.

Keep the whole team on one property

Skipping the shuttle is half the point. Guests stay in seven waterfront villas plus the eight-bedroom Barn Suite. Four two-bedroom villas each sleep up to five. Three four-bedroom villas each sleep up to ten. The Barn Suite sleeps sixteen and keeps bedrooms on the same floor as the common meeting space—useful for an executive holiday offsite that wants work and rest in one building.

Every villa overlooks ranch ponds and includes a full kitchen, Wi-Fi, washer and dryer, and linens. Guests share the resort pool and hot tub. For a holiday company retreat, that means colleagues can cook breakfast together, step outside for a walk, and still make the afternoon session on time.

Meals and downtime without leaving the ranch

Black Star Grille is the restaurant and music venue on the ranch. Burgers are made with beef from the ranch’s own herd, and steaks are on the current menu. Friday hours are 4:30 to 10 PM with happy hour from 4:30 to 6 PM and free live music from 7 to 9 PM CT. Saturday hours are 11 AM to 10 PM. For groups of ten or more, call ahead at (817) 857-2624 so the kitchen can plan.

Between sessions, teams fish the ranch ponds (catch-and-release is the standard), ride UTV tours, hike ranch roads, or gather around a fire pit under a dark Texas sky. Sporting clays run year-round by reservation. None of that requires another booking across town.

Start planning with dates and headcount

Bring dates, headcount, and whether you need a short holiday dinner, a one-night stay, or a two-day offsite. The ranch owners, Matthew and Kim Bays, and the team will help match lodging, meeting space, and meals. Use https://www.twincanyons.shop/contactus or call (817) 857-2624.
