Thanksgiving Meal Planning with Ranch-Raised Texas Beef

Thanksgiving is close, and a better holiday table starts with beef you can place on a map. Twin Canyons Ranch is a family-owned working cattle ranch between Granbury and Glen Rose, raising registered Texas Longhorns and Herefords on the Brazos. When we talk about ranch-raised beef, we mean beef from this herd—the same pastures guests drive past on the way to the villas and Black Star Grille.

This is not a delivery guarantee and not a live inventory list. For current cuts and bundles, use the ranch shop; availability changes as packages sell.

What ranch-raised means at Twin Canyons

Matthew and Kim Bays run Twin Canyons Ranch as a working ranch resort: cattle in the pastures, lodging on the ponds, and a restaurant that cooks the ranch’s own beef. Guests who order a Bunkhouse Burger at Black Star Grille are tasting that herd. Part of beef sales supports Martha’s Ranch Foundation—another reason locals from Granbury, Glen Rose, and Pecan Plantation like taking the ranch home.

If you are comparing grocery-store holiday trays with something you can point to on a map, this is the difference. You can visit the ranch, see the cattle, and order packaged beef from the same operation.

Shop current cuts for the holiday table

The online shop at https://www.twincanyons.shop lists ranch beef favorites such as individual steaks, brisket, ground-beef packs, and larger quarter- and half-beef bundles. Prices and package details live on that page and can change, so check the shop rather than trusting an old screenshot. For a Thanksgiving spread, many hosts mix a centerpiece roast or brisket with ground beef for a second-day meal. Others stock the freezer now so December stays easy.

We cannot promise specific ship dates or that a particular cut will still be on the shelf the week of November 26. If you need a particular package for a date, use the shop first, then call (817) 857-2624 if you have a question the product page does not answer.

Taste the ranch at Black Star Grille first

Not every holiday meal has to happen in your kitchen. Black Star Grille serves burgers made from ranch beef and currently lists Filet, Ribeye, NY Strip, Sirloin, and Surf and Turf on the menu, cooked to order with a side and salad. Friday hours are 4:30 to 10 PM; Saturday hours are 11 AM to 10 PM. It is a simple way to taste the ranch before you fill a freezer—or to take the family out the weekend before Thanksgiving.
