A Texas Ranch Getaway: Waterfront Villas on a Working Cattle Ranch on the Brazos

A real Texas ranch getaway sounds like frogs and crickets at dusk and looks like Longhorns grazing on the far side of the pond. At Twin Canyons Ranch, our seven waterfront villas sit on a working cattle ranch with 1.5 miles of Brazos River frontage, between Granbury and Glen Rose. If you’re searching for Texas ranch vacation rentals or waterfront cabins in Texas, here’s what a stay looks like.

Sometimes you just need to get out of town. No big itinerary and no airport, just a quiet place with a view, good food nearby and room to breathe. If you’re searching for Glen Rose lodging or a Granbury getaway, our waterfront villas at Twin Canyons Ranch Resort might be exactly what you’re after.

A Texas ranch getaway on the Brazos

Twin Canyons is a working cattle ranch between Granbury and Glen Rose, with 1.5 miles of Brazos River frontage and registered Texas Longhorns and Herefords out in the pastures. It’s southwest of Fort Worth, between Granbury and Glen Rose.

Slow down on a Texas ranch getaway

The pace changes the minute you pull through the gate. Mornings start with coffee on the patio and mist on the pond. Afternoons drift by along the Brazos or on a trail through the oaks. Evenings belong to the sunset, the frogs and crickets, and a sky full of stars far from the glow of the city. A guest from Dallas put it best:

“Being able to get away from the hustle & bustle of Dallas was much needed. My favorite part was watching the sun go down and hearing the frogs and crickets start to sing.”

— Kaelah P., guest
